I wish this movie couldve been better😔. Note: I am a Star Wars fan who loves TFA and TLJ
TFA and TLJ feel like directors visions. A film created by someone with a vision, but not this one. "Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker" is one underwhelming mess another another. It feels like a Studios vision, and a scatterbrain one at that.
The film is advertised as the big final one of the saga but, anticipation wise, come nowhere close as an event to any of the other Star Wars films. Because of that, The Rise of Skywalker results as an underwhelming mess with nothing special. Disney is pumping out a Star Wars film each year and, because of that, the films feel less special and the magic of Star Wars is lost.

If you thought The Last Jedi was a flash in the pan in terms of bad writing for Star Wars, boy do I have news for you. The only way you could possibly enjoy this is if you give yourself a lobotomy before viewing. Rushed, convoluted, too much exposition, and it's pandering as hell while somehow being completely out of touch with its fan base at the same time. Avoid this film. To me, interesting things from the trailer include: No R2D2, why? The pilot trying to run down Rey is not shown. We are meant to think it is Kylo, but I think not. C3's arm is no longer red. Finally, the title has many people thinking it refers to the resurrection of Luke, but I think it refers to Ben. After all, he is a Skywalker. In Episode 5, in response to the fear there is no one else to offer hope in the galaxy, Yoda says, No, there is another. Perhaps that will turn out to be Ben, not his mother, Leia.

Yeah after seeing 2 extremely mediocre Star Wars movies in a row, Im not excited for this one bit

Rogue One was definitely the best of the Disney SW movies. I'm not going to see this one. The Force Awakens. The Burial of Skywalker is a triumph of production values, music and little else. Many actors did their best to elevate the canon and lore destroying material but only Uncle Palps succeeds from start to finish. Kylo does his best but even a beast as Adam Driver is undone by the abhorred 3rd act. Whoever has to follow this is cursed. Thank the lord for the Disney+ shows, some of the upcoming books/comics (the poor Knight of Ren) and the Clone Wars S07. JJ gave his all with EP VII that is a bit undone by the followups, Rian made an interesting but meandering non-sequel and JJ then came in with a poorly though out killing blow that was designed to serve all and thus serves none. Only the 4 Clone Era films are somewhat worse as they fail basic film making criteria. 4,5/10 and barely that.
PS: The back-paddling by JJ, the cast and the story group has to be seen to be believed. No more cinematic Star War till at least the mid 2020s please and no more trilogies till the decade after. And i say this as someone who liked 4 out of the 5 Disney films.

I can spoil the movie for you. Rey kills palpatine unfortunately. Kylo dies or join the rebels the rebels destroys the first order the rebels win the end. The movie gets lots and lots of hate. It's funny how the only thing most of us like about this are the old characters from the original 6 movies lol. #1 WTF QUESTION: Who the fu*k thought it was a good idea to switch writers and directors for a movie trilogy? Keep one guy for all three so his vision can be planned and realized.
